Snorkelling can be a fun alternative to scuba diving as it is really enjoyable and there is no age limit. Crystal clean waters invite you to an adventure of meeting a variety of fish and other underwater creatures. Our snorkeling tours are operated in the world famous Silfra, a narrow canyon in the lava field located between the continents of America and Europe. So snorkeling in the Silfra actually includes a swim between the continents, not something you do everyday!

But that is not all, the water in Silfra is a mixture of groundwater from the surrounding area and melt water from Langjökull glacier in the highlands. It takes the glacial water 20 years to filter through the massive lava field before it enters the fissure. This makes the water in Silfra one of the purest and clearest in the world, the underwater visibility in the heavenly blue water is normally 70-80 meters, better then anywhere else in the world.

Snorkeling is something anyone can do without any prior experience, you do not need a dive certificate to go snorkeling as you will not be diving below the surface of the water.
