El Grillo is a wreck in Seydisfjordur at the very east of Iceland.

El Grillo – is a 7,264 ton and 147 meter Oil Tanker which sunk in Seydisfjordur February 10 th. 1944 after a air srike by 3 German planes.
The ship lies in a depth of about 45 meters and the shallowest point is reached after descending about 28 meters.
El Grillo was equipped with some air defence guns and some of them are still down there.

In order to dive at El Grillo divers need to be certified PADI advanced open water divers or carry a comparable certification from another organization.

Heimaey – this tiny island is a great spot for underwater photography. The main attractions include beautiful rock formations (large boulders) and rich marine life (such as wolffish).
